The planning application for the new Canal Basin has been submitted by our consultants during the week ending April 22nd 2012.
The plan submitted was based on the drawing shown below.
The exhibition of drawings is still in place in the Heritage Centre in Whitchurch Town Centre but will be removed soon.
The plan below has been produced based on the comments we have received. Click the icon that appears on the drawing to view full size.
It is anticipated some discussions will be required on the route of the path.
The aims here are;
- maintain the required wildlife corridor around the stream
- provide a reasonably direct route for the path
- have natural looking gentle slopes rather than retaining walls.

If you would like to receive a copy of the above drawing as a PDF or you have any comments or suggestions please email comments [at] whitchurchwaterway.org.uk
